This online course is designed to provide a foundation for teaching breathwork skillfully and mindfully.
Also, this course is for those who want to deepen their own practice and knowledge without wanting to teach.
And for bodyworkers, life coaches and therapists that want to use the power of the breath in their work.

 
 

Yoga Alliance® 35-hour pranayama course online

Together with Ilse-Marie Sobering from InnerPower Yoga, I am hosting this beautiful 35h Pranayama course.
The training is in English and will be held mostly live online via Zoom. And also includes daily breathwork practices in your own time with pre-recorded videos.
The course takes place in January and February 2024 and is spread out over 2,5 weeks. It consists of 8 (live) online sessions spread out over those 2,5 weeks. Sessions will be held on the weekends (CET: in the afternoon) and a few weekdays (CET: in the evening).

However, we want to be flexible with busy students who can’t make all of the set dates of the live sessions and students in different time zones. If you’re unable to participate in a live session, you may watch it later. The live online sessions will be recorded and you’ll get access to them.
The set-up of this course gives you time to digest the new information in between sessions and offers you the opportunity to take this course partly in your own time.

DATES 2024:
Sunday 21 January - Wednesday 7 February

The opening session is on Sunday 21 January.
From Sunday 21 January, you will practice Pranayama every day (short to medium-long sessions, preferably in the morning) during the whole course (2,5 weeks). You do these Pranayama practices with the help of pre-recorded videos.
The last live online session is on Wednesday 7 February.

Zoom
Live online sessions will be hosted via Zoom. It’s an easy set up, so no worries if you are not super technical. And we are always happy to help you if needed.

Props
Sometimes you might want to use a prop, but don't worry if you don't have props at home. We can be creative. You can use a rolled-up or folded towel or small blanket, pillow or cushion and a book.

You will find a lot of online courses that accept huge groups of students and that give little personal attention. The more famous the teacher, the bigger the groups, and most of those TTC’s are held in webinar-style.
We have chosen to work with smaller groups. Although it is online this will still keep it personal. Especially if you are attending the live online sessions this creates a nice and intimate setting, where students can feel safe. Also, we give students time to practice teaching with their fellow students online via Zoom.
Furthermore, working with small groups gives us the opportunity to give enough personal attention and personal feedback.
All students will have a personal coach (one of the teachers) who will help you on your personal journey.

Yoga Alliance® 35 hour – International Recognized Certification for Continuous Education
Our 35-hour online Pranayama course is registered with Yoga Alliance® USA. This is an international body that sets international standards for Yoga Teacher Training Programs. Our course is recognized by Yoga Alliance as 35 hours of continuing training for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT).
Upon completion of this course, students will receive a certificate from InnerPower Yoga and Jane Bakx Yoga for 35 hours of Pranayama / Breathwork training. When you are a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance®, you can add 35 hours to your total hours.

A LOT OF PERSONAL CONTACT

BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE ONLINE TRAINING

Are you worried that an online training means that it will not be personal? We understand that, so we want to make sure that that will not happen.

BEFORE – PRECARE
You can talk with us over the phone, via email or Whatsapp concerning any questions about the course if you have them. And at the start of the course, we will have an online live video session with a welcome speech, introduction round and Q&A.

DURING THE COURSE
A big part of the classes will be via live online video sessions. You can ask direct questions, chat and interact. We have Q&A check-in moments during the live sessions.
And during the live online sessions, we give you time to practice teaching with your fellow students via Zoom (Break-out rooms). It’s a great way to share and bond with the group and of course, practice your teaching/practice skills.
You will also have one of the teachers as a personal mentor. You can always have a personal chat with your mentor via email, phone or Whatsapp.

AFTERCARE
At the end of the course, we will have an online live meeting for feedback and Q&A. And you can always ask the teachers additional questions after the course.
In general, we have very supportive groups. From experience, we can say that there is a lot of interaction and sharing between the students after the course. Which is very valuable and special.

About Ilse-Marie
Ilse is the founder of InnerPower Yoga.
Ilse did several teacher training courses. She is skilled in various yoga styles and over the years has created her own style by mixing various styles of yoga. She is teaching Yin & Restorative yoga, Vinyasa, Kundalini and Hatha yoga. She teaches meditation and pranayama. Furthermore, she is skilled in Qi Gong and energy work. She organizes international retreats and courses and also teaches masterclasses and workshops.
Ilse has a great passion for yoga, meditation, mindfulness and healthy nutrition. Yoga and meditation had a big impact on her own life.
